Partial & Full Leasing
Partial Leasing offers our riders the opportunity to spend extra time with a favorite horse, strengthen riding skills, and practice grooming and tacking.
Who
Can Lease:
You must be currently enrolled in lessons with us, riding at the intermediate level or above, you must successfully complete our Friday Night Horsemanship Clinic program, and the office must have the written approval of your Instructor.
General Requirements:
You must be able to groom and tack, tighten the girth properly, warm-up properly, ride with consideration for the horse's well being, ride with consideration for others in the arena, know cooling-out procedures and be able to put your horse and equipment away properly.
Cost:
$400 per month for 8 rides, $600.00 per month for 12 rides.
Scheduling:
Either two or three times a week, for no more than 2 hours elapsed time in each session generally broken down as follows: 1/2 hour to groom, tack and mount up, one hour of riding time, and 1/2 hour to cool out and put the tack away. You must consult with our Stable Manager about coordinating days and times.
Horse Availability:
The more popular school horses are not always available.
Primary Rules:
For safety's sake, partial-lease riding is only allowed in the Main Arena. Jumping, switching arenas or switching horses is not allowed without prior permission from the office. Bareback riding is not allowed.
Full Lease:
If you want to full-lease, meaning that only you have access to the particular horse or pony, the rate is $1,400.00 per month - which includes basic board. You may combine partial-lease options as well (such as purchasing an 8+12 for 20, two 8 rides for 16, two 12 rides for 24).
